Use the following for the next four questions. An experiment is conducted to see if position of the lid hole, on a disposable coffee cup, will affect the chance the coffee will leak from under the lid while walking. The researchers are interested in comparing the number of cups that leak when the lid hole is directly over the cup seam versus when the lid hole is turned to the right of the cup seam. They split 60 cups into two groups and fill each cup with coffee to the same mark (a quarter inch below the top of the cup). In Group 1, they place the lid hole directly over the seam. In Group 2, they place the lid hole to the right of the cup seam. For each cup, one individual walks naturally from point A to point B, and whether, or not, the cup leaked is indicated.
