Some normal sexual behaviors among young children are;

  • Curiousity about their genitals and trying to discover it by touching it while changing dress, bathing etc.
  • Wanting to discover others sexuality by trying to watch them nude.
  • Shows one's genitals to peers.
  • Inquisitive about the genitals of new born babies, would try to look for genitals in their toys.

Some abnormal sexual behaviors of children that should be taken as warning signs are:

  • Indulging in activities that causes harm to genital organs, example- rigorous rubbing of one's genitals that causes swelling, or sore.
  • Trying to put things into the genital areas of other children or infants.
  • Habit of peeping into while adults are changing or are engaged in intimate sexual actitvity despite warning from the elders.
  • Engaging in sexual activities with other children or elders by their own will or shows extreme interest in such behaviors
