Differentiate between logical and Procedural representation of Knowledge?
Subject is AI
Before going to make some distinctions about Logical Respresenation technique and Procedural Representation Technique it is useful to know about KR (Knowledge representation and reasoning)
Knowledge representation and reasoning (KR) is the field of artificial intelligence
(AI) to represent the informatin about the world in a form a computer system(a robot) to solve complex tasks that human can't sovle
or time taking to solve. It is also used automate some of the systems to reduce the human power. Examples include diagnosing a medical condition
or having a dialog in a natural language(Example: IBM watson to replace some of the bpo voice jobs).
The common distinction between Logical and Procedural Representation of Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence is
Logical Representation Technique:
• Logic is anything which has reasoning for its existence.
• Reasoning should be provided with justification.
• Justification is the understanding of scenario.
• Scenario is the actual event/incident that is mentioned by the end-user.
• In logical reasoning no hard and fast rule is applied for justification.
• For example, if it is said that its raining outside. Provide the logical reasoning to support
the statement. Followin
For Logical Representation technique we need to provide justification to provide support to the statement.g may be the logical reasons in support of the statement:
There is rainy season outside
It is geographical the rainy area
Their are clouds on the sky
There is a lot of water on roads which supports that there is rain, outside.
In this technique, every single statement should support the occurrence of other statement.
Procedural Representation Technique:
Procedural Representation technique is the other way to represent to knowledge. It follow step by step approach to solve particular real type problem such as diagnosing a medical condition.
• In this technique, knowledge is presented in sequential order.
• It is in Structured paradigm thus it follows “Step by step” order.
• It indicates the user with all the pre-required steps that he has to follow to achieve the solution
• It is a top bottom approach.
• It is proper ordered way to complete a task, like
Operation of a product
• Hours to use a machine
• Hours to manufacture product
It provides step by step description of the product
• From start till the product is completely manufactured and assembled
• In procedural technique, each step covers every single unit of the product

3-Ho Result With the following inputs for the multiplexors, what is the logical representation of the diagram? a) M = 0, M2 = 0, M2 = 0 b) M1 = 1, M2 = 1, M3 = 1 c) M = 0, M2 = 1, M2 = 1
Differentiate clearly between the even, odd and half wave symmetry waveforms with respect to their Fourier co-efficients (use appropriate waveform) in their Fourier series representation
Argument Forms An argument form is a representation of the logical relationship between terms in an argument. Determining an argument's form involves replacing the content terms in the argument, whether statements or noun terms, with capital letters (A, B, C, and so on) while leaving alone the connecting phrases such as "either... or..." and "not." The validity of a deductive argument is determined by the argument's form. Any argument that has a valid argument form is a deductively valid argument....
