You and your partner have narrowed down your gamete donor choices. Both of you decided that having a child with no freckles (rr) is important. Donor A is homozygous dominant for this trait and Donor B is hererozygous for this trait. You are heterozygous. Which of these donors should you pick, and WHY, if you want the greatest chance of having a baby with no freckles. Be sure to show ALL the work you did that helped you make this decision, and label that work where appropriate.

Answer #1

rr is responsible for no freckles. then homozygous dominant which is donor A will not work because donor A doesnot have any reccessive gene but you require rr it means if you are hetreozygous then the donor must be hetrozygous or reccessive homozygous to get the progeny with rr (reccessive homozygous trait). Therefore you should pick donor B to get the greatest chance of having a baby with no freckles
