Overview: CoffeeBrewers, Inc., the company that you work for, has developed an app it plans to release to customers to help promote its sales. Customers enter the type of pastry or sandwich they are going to have, and the app provides suggestions for the kind of coffee that is best suited to pair with their meal. In an email to the software development team, identify what type of research method is likely to produce the best results for testing the app: a survey, focus group, interview, observation, or field trial, explain how the research method can be applied in this matter and why it will be effective in yielding useful results.

I am writing with regard to the research method for the app that the company development. Based on research and the urgency for the result, I would recommend an interview as the best research method. An interview is appropriate because we will be able to acquire firsthand information from our customers. Secondly, we will have adequate data from these people concerning our company and the app because we will be asking multiple questions from different areas concerning the app. Third, we will have genuine information because we are getting it from the real customers. Four, interview are cheap and simple compared to other means because when a customer has any difficulty he/she can ask for help immediately. Lastly, interviews can be recorded for commercial and other use, for example, we can use the clip to create an advert and much more.

The interview will be carried in one state but in more than 20 venues, 5 schools, 5 religious places for example church, 5 companies and 5 towns from random people. These 5groups will have twenty members each. The interview will be carried out in three stages. First, the participants will be taught how the app works, i.e. where to get it, how to install it, how to search and how to get more information from it concerning the product, for example, the cost. Then, they will be allowed to use the app and after they have tried it, they will be interviewed based on that. A questionnaire will be filled by a team of people the company will select to interview them.
