In training, employees should be asked to reflect on their own biases to give light on this the training initiative/method which would be best suitable to diversify & create inclusion. With the business of all sizes have made strides that are relevant in becoming more inclusive & diverse over the last decades and struggling to overcome many of the biases that limit employees how some see those who are different from themselves.

To monitor welcoming workplaces one way that respects differences & gives voice to people who are often discriminated can be identified and by proper implementation of company diversity & inclusion training programs that overcome all pitfalls and getting most out of this training which is explained below:-

1. Developing of an understandable diversity & inclusion training at first-

  • Here before starting such a training program for your firm, it's very important to develop a clear & detailed definition of what program should be.
  • Comprehensive diversity & inclusion creates concrete ways to engage respectful & positive interactions in the workplace which reduces discrimination & prejudice on factors like race, sex, ethnicity, age, physical/mental ability and socioeconomic status in the firm.
  • Here such programs should benefit all employees and target issues like including unconscious bias, microaggressions & cross-cultural communications by teaching employees how to work well together while embracing diverse perspectives.

2. Maintaining diversity & inclusion training over time & extending-

  • The program to be successful it's important to be delivered over an extended period of time in which such training impacts positive effects on employees' knowledge, attitudes & behaviors towards diverse groups but over time this all regressed to what they were before the training.
  • To be most successful & useful, bias & diversity training cannot be once a year, one time workshops or annual day of training but rolling out of series of events, programs, celebrations, mentoring opportunities with other experiences for continual learning of diversity & inclusion.

3. Customization of diversity & inclusion training as per the company-

  • Such programs should be tailor-made for the firm conducting it as per needs. So such corporate diversity training programs must be based on understanding the foundational of the unique diversity & inclusion objectives with challenges of each firm.
  • Every company must take time to look inward, conducting some fact gathering initiatives, assessing the current company culture & identifying any unresolved conflicts that are with employees' faces in the firm.

4. Planning for an integrated approach-

  • Employees prefer to such training programs when it is used to several methods of instruction, including lectures, discussions & exercises and so on whereby the employers must vary how the training is presented, and take a blended and integrated hybrid approach for the success of the program.
  • Providing quality assurance with interactive choices as e-learning or microlearning courses and all will add interest to employees in adopting such programs of training.

5 Including workers at all levels-

  • Training is not only for one level of the workers or employees in firms but for all of them regardless of their status in the company which should benefit everybody at all levels of the firm.
  • Not only showing others how serious you are about the issue but also acknowledging the bias is not always a conscious problem that everyone can better themselves with training.

6. Hiring an expert-

  • To provide the quality in assessment, professional trainer for the workers and employees as an expert will help in achieving the success and goals of such training programs.

Therefore to conclude the training initiative or method that will be best suited in such diversity and inclusion is understanding all such approaches is very important and can go for perspective-taking, goal setting or stereotype discrediting which all comes next once all such analysis is made above for successful of training programs or initiatives.
