According to me, the statement is false because organizational culture is for the benefit of the organization itself so that the various goals and objectives of the organization can be achieved.Thus I don't think that it has anything to do with people's need for social identity.Organisational culture is being formed with an aim that the different activities to be performed in the organization should be in coordination with the culture.Thus the basic objective behind the culture of an organization is to help the organization in smooth and efficient working.So I am not in the favour of the statement being mentioned.
