A former senior financial analyst was arrested as they were boarding a flight for Switzerland carrying a large amount of sensitive customer data of high profile clients. Computers searched in the former analyst’s home led to the discovery of emails offering to sell secrets to Syria and China. The insider is thought to have been motivated not only by money (significant personal debts), but also by a sense of disgruntlement (a number of job-related complaints to former coworkers and neighbors).
