Here the last option is true that is all the four statments listed above are true about the membrane proteins.

We know thar the membrane proteins are usually two types, intrinsic membane protein and preipheral membrane protein. Now in the intrinsic membrane protein, usually hydrophobic amino acid residues made peptide chains are present. They make a covalent connections with the phospholipid molecules and form lipoprotein in the membrane.

Similarly, the peripheral proteins which are not bound to the hydrophobic moiety, those are bound to the carbohydrate moiety sometimes, and form glycoproteins which play many important roles in cellular metabolism and biochemistry. And often this membrane proteins become interesing for the drug designing in pharmaceutical research.

The membrane proteins composed of all naturally occuring twenty amino acids like the soluble proteins. And this is revealed by amino acid sequencing of the different membrane proteins from eucariots and bacteria.

And the peripheral proteins are usually diffused laterally in the membrane until they are anchored due the binding with something else or with the effective substrate to play its role in cellular biochemistry.
