- gastrocnemius

- Soleus

Soleus lies deeper then gastrocnemius.

2. Origin of rectus femoris:

Anterior inferior iliac spine and ilium superior to acetabulum

3. Insertion of sartorius:

It inserts on Superior part of medial surface of tibia

4. Action of biceps femoris:

It flexes and laterally rotates leg, extends thigh at hip

5. Muscles having ischial tuberosity as origins are:

hamstring muscles originate from the ischial tuberosity

- Bicep femoris

- Semitendinosus

-semimembranosus

6. Muscle inserting on calcaneus:

- Gastrocnemius through achillies tendon

7. Abduction is the movement of a part away from the central axis while adduction is the movement of the part towards the axis.
