Topic 2 Does life threatening illness create an opportunity for personal growth/finding existential meaning in life?
Answer- Yes, I think life threatening illness can create an opportunity for personal growth and finding existential meaning in life because by having a certain illness we become physically and mentally weak. Our morale goes down and we are looked down upon by people. They become highly demotivated and also people demotivate them by laughing at their illness and give no support.
But these people find their inner strength and then they want to prove that they are strong and worthwhile . They don't want others to laugh at them and they want to be bogged down . So, they just buckle down and try to improve themselves so that they don't lag behind and hence they get an opportunity for personal growth.
