Introduction- Our company has been reputed to doing business efficiently in supplying hand sanitizers and other hygiene supplies to hospitals and stores across the United States for the past 20 years. We are faced with a sudden spike in demand for hand sanitizers due to the pandemic COVID-19. The expected demand is forecasted to the number of sales equal to 20 years of our total sales in just 12 days!

Problem- We have been traditionally using truck leasing and managing our fleet efficiently to meet the regular demand. However, we need to supply the sudden spike in demand without any delays as it is not ethical and fair to keep the hospitals and stores short of hand sanitizers which play a dominant role in evading COVID-19 .Through this effort, we would be able to save millions of lives.

Solution- We can use visualized technology or visibility software that can be integrated in our supply chain operations. To do this, we need to have cloud technology that we can integrate into our software to connect our fleet and carriers. This would give visibility for the movement of the loads. This helps to solve any supplier problems such as delayed delivery of goods.

Recommendation- I strongly recommend that we need to be agile to respond to COVID-19 to help people from the pandemic. Visualized platform will help us to gain the competitive advantage and sail through the storms like the currently happening pandemic COVID-19 efficiently and help us to sustain in the business in the long run.
