Review the chracteristies or gymnosperms and angiosperims described in this introduction, and summarize in Table 15.1 the advantages of these groups relative to their success on land. You should be able to list several characteristics for each. At the end of the lab, you will be asked to modify and complete the table, based on your investigations. You will want to return to this table after the laboratory to be sure that the table is complete and that you are familiar with all of these important features. Gymnosperms:
They have exposed seeds.
They are characterized with xylem and phloem tissues which conduct minerals and nutrients across the whole tree.
Vascular tissue present is the cork cambium
They conduct photosynthesis in their leaves.

Angiosperms:
They have the ability to pollinate/get pollinated by number of agents like wind, insects etc
They are greatly branched
They are also able to adjust in different climates/environments.
They have surface feeder root system etc
