(Please HelpA group of statisticians at a local college has asked you to create a set of functions that compute the median and mode of a set of numbers. Define these functions, median and mode, in a module named stats.py. Also include a function named mean, which computes the average of a set of numbers. Each function should expect a list of numbers as an argument and return a single number. Each function should return 0 if the list is empty. Include a main function that tests the three statistical functions using the following list defined in main:
lyst = [3, 1, 7, 1, 4, 10]
An example of the program output is shown below:
List: [3, 1, 7, 1, 4, 10] Mode: 1 Median: 3.5 Mean: 4.33333333333333
def median(numbers):
numbers.sort()
midIndex = len(numbers) // 2
if len(numbers) % 2 == 1:
return numbers[midIndex]
else:
return (numbers[midIndex] + numbers[midIndex - 1]) / 2
def mean(numbers):
total = 0
for number in numbers:
total += number
return total / len(numbers)
def mode(numbers):
result = numbers[0]
count = 0
for num in numbers:
if numbers.count(num) >= count:
count = numbers.count(num)
result = num
return result
def main():
userList = [3, 1, 7, 1, 4, 10]
print("List:", userList)
print("Mode:", mode(userList))
print("Median:", median(userList))
print("Mean:", mean(userList))
main()
Assignment: USING PYTHON Expected submission: TWO (2) Python files, main.py and HelperClasses.py Make a file called HelperClasses and create a class inside it called Helpers Inside Helpers, create 8 static methods as follows: 1.) Max, Min, Standard_Deviation, Mean a.) Each of these should take a list as a parameter and return the calculated value 2.) Bubble a.) This should take a list as a parameter and return the sorted list 3.) Median a.) This should take a list as a...
THE CODE CALCULATES THE MEAN MEDIAN AND MODE OF THE SET OF NUMBERS THE CODE IS WRITTEN IN C++ PLEASE FIX THE MODE FUNCTION ! SO THAT IT OUTPUTS 0 WHEN THERE ARE NO REPETITIONS IN THE DATASET eg. for 1,2,3,4,5 mode should be zero but it gives 1 ! #include<iostream> #include<math.h> using namespace std; class statistical{ protected: double *dataArray; int size; public: statistical(double a[], int s){ dataArray = new double[s]; for (int i = 0; i<s; i++){ dataArray[i] =...
***NEED SOLUTION IN PYTHON *** 1. Create a main function which only gets executed when the file is directly executed Hint: def main(): pass if __name__ == '__main__': main() 2. Your programs will use a file called scores.txt to store a bunch of user-provided numbers. These can be int or float but their values must be between 0 and 100. Inside the main function, display the current list of numbers to the user and ask if they want to update...
python 2..fundamentals of python 1.Package Newton’s method for approximating square roots (Case Study 3.6) in a function named newton. This function expects the input number as an argument and returns the estimate of its square root. The script should also include a main function that allows the user to compute square roots of inputs until she presses the enter/return key. 2.Convert Newton’s method for approximating square roots in Project 1 to a recursive function named newton. (Hint: The estimate of...
This program should use a main function and two other functions named playlist and savelist as follows: The main function: The main function should create an empty list named nums and then use a loop to add ten integers to nums, each integer in the range from 10-90. NOTE: In Python, a list is a data type. See Chapter 7. The main function should then call the playlist function and savelist function, in that order. Both of these functions take...
Write a python program (recursive.py) that contains a main() function. The main() should test the following functions by calling each one with several different values. Here are the functions: 1) rprint - Recursive Printing: Design a recursive function that accepts an integer argument, n, and prints the numbers 1 up through n. 2) rmult - Recursive Multiplication: Design a recursive function that accepts two arguments into the parameters x and y. The function should return the value of x times...

Question #1 Write a function capital that has one argument: strlist that is a list of non-empty strings. If each string in the list starts with a capital letter, then the function should return the value True. If some string in the list does not start with a capital letter, then the function should return the value False You may use any of the string functions that are available in Python in your solution, so you might...
1) Translate the following equation into a Python assignment statement 2) Write Python code that prints PLUS, MINUS, O ZERO, depending on the value stored in a variable named N. 3) What is printed by: 3 - 1 while 5: while 10 Print ) Page 1 of 9 4) Write a Python while loop that reads in integers until the user enters a negative number, then prints the sum of the numbers. 1-2 of 9 4) Write a Python while...
PLEASE USE WHILE LOOP (NOT FOR LOOPS). Python programming. In this problem, you should write one function named multiply. This function should accept one parameter, which you can assume will be a list with one or more integers in it. (If you don’t know what I mean when I say “list of integers”, go do the reading!) The function should loop through all of the numbers in the list, and multiply all of the numbers together. It should return the...
Write a Python program that can convert a Fahrenheit temperature to Celsius, or vice versa. The program should use two custom functions, f_to_c and c_to_f, to perform the conversions. Both of these functions should be defined in a custom module named temps. Custom function c_to_f should be a void function defined to take a Celsius temperature as a parameter. It should calculate and print the equivalent Fahrenheit temperature accurate to three decimal places. Custom function f_to_c should be a value-returning...
