The fundamental attribution error is the tendency people have to overemphasize personal characteristics and ignore situational factors in judging others’ behavior. Because of the fundamental attribution error, we tend to believe that others do bad things because they are bad people. We’re inclined to ignore situational factors that might have played a role. so hasting's team behaviour will likely to be bleming other for the errors that are not in thier control. For example, if someone cuts us off while driving, her first thought might be “What a jerk!” instead of considering the possibility that the driver is rushing someone to the airport. On the flip side, when she cut someone off in traffic, she tend to convince herself that she had to do so. she focus on situational factors, like being late to a meeting, and ignore what her behavior might say about her own character.

The halo effect is a type of cognitive bias in which our overall impression of a person influences how we feel and think about their character. same with the case of the Hastings she will judge every team member's action with the imaage of that member in her mind.

B.

Herzberg’s Motivation Theory model, or Two Factor Theory, argues that there are two factors that an organization can adjust to influence motivation in the workplace.

These factors are:

  • Motivators: Which can encourage employees to work harder.
  • Hygiene factors: These won’t encourage employees to work harder but they will cause them to become unmotivated if they are not present.
