HIs Quiz: 14 pts possib Explain why the value of a matrix game is positive if all of the payoffs are postive Choose the correct answer below O A. If the matrix game is strictly determined and all of the payoffs are positive, D- (a d) - (b+ c) will be negative and ad -bc will be l be positive. If the matrix game is nonstrictly determined, and all of the payoffs are positive, the saddle value will also be positive. Thus, negative. Therefore the value, v, is positive OB. If the matrix game is strictly determined and all of the payoffs are positive, the saddle value will also be positive. Thus, the value, v, is positive. If the matix O C. If th game is nonstrictly determined, D (a +d)-(b +c) will be negative and ad -bc will be negative. Therefore, the value, v, will be positive e matrix game is strictly determined and all of the payoffs are positive, D (a + d)-(b+c) will be positive and ad-bc will be positive Therefore, the value v, will be positive If the matrix game is nonstrictly determined, and all of the payoffs are negative, the saddle value will be positive Thus, the value, v, is positive O D. Answer #1

Answer: (B)

If the matrix game is strictly determined it means it has a saddle point and as given the value of all payooffs is positive, value of saddle point is aldo positive and the saddle point gives the value og game. if the game is nonstrictly determined it means it doesnt have the saddle point, D=(a+d)-(b+c) will be negative and ad-bc will be nagative hence v will be positive.
