Answer #1

Psychology is among the oldest disciplines as many early philosophers and scholars have contemplated about the complex functioning and mysteries of the human mind. Evidence and explanations for mental processes and behaviour can be traced to the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Persia, Greece, China, and India. On the other hand, the scientific study of psychology as a discipline in itself began much later, in 1879, with the founding of the first psychological laboratory by Wilhelm Wundt in Leipzig, Germany. In this sense, the formal investigation of Psychology began much later compared to the discussions that it evoked.
