An antigen is a molecule (lipid, protein, polysaccharide) which has the property of both infection and foreignness to the host. This means it is considered something not belonging to the system of the host and thus attacked by the host.

Epitope are the regions (specific sequences) on the antigen molecule which are recognised by an antibody.

LD50 stands for lethal dose of a drug which can cause neutralization (killing in a sense) of 50% of its target.

Infective dose is a term used to decide on the amount of a vaccine to be administered, which is anough to cause infection such that the body produces immune response against it and is prepared with memory cells on similar subsequent exposure.
