Some causes of expatriate failure are :-
a) Expats may unable to adapt the local culture and the spouse and children may not able to adjust the environment.
b) The company may not gave adequate training and orientation before the starting of the assignment.
c) Expats may face difficulty to understand the work culture of the host country due to lack of adaptability and may also face some barriers.
d) Employees may choose to leave the company after returning from the assignment, insearch for a good career development.
e) Expats lack the flexibility and maturity to handle the assignment and may intended to do this project due to gain of money which leads to failure of the entire assignment.
Success factors for expatriates :-
a) HR must choose expacts effective on the basis of their professionalism and adaptiveness. It would help to make an effective assignment to host country.
b) Management must make the expact and it's family understand regarding the consequences and issues they might face i.e. give a realistic preview.
c) If expacts gets sufficient financial support from the organization then it would be easier to live in the new environment an dcope up with the homesickness.
