Minutes of a meeting are typed in an open table format, with two columns needed for all the information for the body of the minutes. Discuss how you would determine what material is important to include in the minutes and what information can be omitted. Provide examples to support your reasoning.
The material that is to be put into the table format for determining the minutes of a meeting is searched out looking how important an event is in the meeting. The non important events and information are ommitted and the information and the material which describes in short what the meeting was about is dotted down.
For example if a meeting was held to discuss the new policy implementation in the organisation, the information that would be discussed through the minutes would be the main topic about why the policy has to be introduced in a summarised form, the benefits / disadvantages of the same policy and the relevant changes that are required in the organisation to accomodate the policy into the organisation. This is the main material and the minutes would cover information related to these topics only. No information regarding who and how much people are not supporting this policy or the cost of the same would be shown because they are of secondary importance and comes under the detail analysis.
