Microsoft Excel is standard spreadsheet software and very useful and productive tool in the field of budgeting, financial forecasting and data entry and play important role on our daily data work however Microsoft excel being useful in most field this is not considered productive and supportive in the field of Statistics.

lets focus on the pros and cons of using Microsoft excel. Considering the pros and cons we can come to know that why Microsoft is not useful for statistics apart from being useful in other data related fields.

Talking about the pros of using Microsoft excel it has great advantage in the field of data organization as it organizes the large amounts of data in orderly and logical Spreadsheets and charts making them lot easy to analyze and digest especially in field of graph and visual data .It has several formula and calculation features in it which helps to computing the simple and complex equations using large amounts of data.This is quite useful as it supports on large no of platforms like smart phones and tablets .The integration feature of this works fine as well as it can be easily added to word document and powerpoint  presentations to crate better and visually dynamic reports.

As every element has its pros and cons Microsoft excel has also some cons.To work with excel need better understanding of its features and functions .so it require training of an individual and require lot of practice before using if efficiently.sometimes calling a wrong function in excel may results in wrong calculations of data which may create hazardous and may cost price as well .Entering data manually in excel may waste your lot of time when you have large amount of data to enter.This software is not available free as it requires a subscription to use its all feature which cost money in large amount.

Based on the pros and cons of Microsoft excel we infer that its not healthy to use for statistical data as statistics data involves large amount of calculation which sometimes may cause error and can result in a huge loss and as statistics are the results of data analysis interpretation and presentation Microsoft excel is not a good choice .
