Half life decay is used in order to relate time and concentration change
it is a convinient 50% change, since it marks the time reuqired to get halved
The typical formual used:
Afinal = Ainitial * (1/2)^(time/Half life)
we can always get half life given:
Afinal/Ainitial = (1/2)^(time/Half life)
if Afinal /Ainitial = 0.5, then
time = half life
