Please I need a different response from the ones that have been posted before. Do you think employers have a right to check into applicants’ backgrounds? What about if that check includes social media, blogs, pictures, or writings that can be found on the internet?

Employers have a right to check into applicants’ background in order to assure that they are hiring a right candidate with legitimate educational qualifications, experience and with no criminal record. If that check includes social media, blogs, pictures, or writings that can be found on the internet is concern, then employers should not consider that in the hiring process, as that is something applicants’ personal lives. However, if there is anything offensive, illegal, abusive, disrespectful, demeaning or anti-national comments or posts are found of the applicants, then that would certainly affect the hiring.
