A science hobbyist has purchased a surplus transformer that converts 6.5 kV from neighborhood distribution lines into for homes. He connects the transformer "backward", connecting 120 V power to 120 V the secondary coil and connecting a load to the primary coil.

if we connect the transformer normally it makes the transformer to act as a stepdown transformer.

Connecting it backwards makes it acts as a stepup transformer

In backward operation the 120 V is connected to primary and at the secondary the Vrms is 6.5 kV
