(a) From the perspective of setting up and operating as a major cloud computing service provider, name one major type of capital expenditure involved, one major line of operating expenditure, and the primary source of revenue. (b) A company called Flixnet specialising in video streaming is about to provide its service on the cloud. This requires re-engineering their core application, which makes use of thousands of files that get changed and modified on a daily basis. The validity and integrity of the files get checked before they are finally backed up. Both serverless computing and containers will enable the company to deploy its application. Considering the following factors, which solution should Flixnet adopt, serverless computing or containers? • scalability • cost • maintenance • time of deployment

a) Cloud computing is the future of the technology world. There is no brakes for the cloud industry that's the reason major tech firms investing in this cloud technology like amazon,google and microsoft. Cloud computing provides users to access peta bytes of data in their own device. Users can perform computing operations in cloud and store the information in cloud.

Captial expenditure in establishing cloud :

->Cloud needs lots of land i.e in 100's of hectares of land. This is the area where company needs to invest more. The area need to be far away from the people. so this a postive factor company because land away from people has less cost than in the place where people density is high.

->Infrasturcture need to be developed like roads, building and electrical equipment like sensors , air conditioners , memory components.

Operating expenditure:

->Cloud requires lots of power to operate . According two survey cloud alone takes 2% of whole power consumpted in the world this is the place where company need to spend lots of money.

->Cloud centeres need to be safe from cyber attacks . Need to recruit hackers to safe guard. Maintainance costs like salaries to emploies.

Primary source of income:

->Selling storage space to companies will be the major source of revenue and charge them monthly according to their plan.

->By providing maintainance to major software companies.

->Individual users also require storage in cloud so that they can login in any computer connectedd to internet and access their data. This majorly done by google , microsoft and amazon.
