What are the parallelism and concurrency? What is the different between them?
SIR Concurrency and parallelism are NOT the same thing.
Concurrency means multiple task start, run and
complete in overlapping time periods (at the same)
in no specific order, like in ATM machine many transaction occure
concurrently.
Parallelism means multiple tasks or various part of a
unique task run at the same time, like in CPU scheduling if we have more
than one processor ( multi-core processor) then we can execute many
jobs simultaneously.
Difference between Concurrency and parallelism
What are the parallelism and concurrency? What is the different between them?
. " Parallelism ant parallelism is faster than conlapon (b) Parallelism can help us speed up computation. Given a what is the speed-up gain for an application that is 60% parallel and we run it on a system with 4 processing cores? (C) For such an application in question 4b, what would be maximum speed-up gain, i.e., the nyan speed-up gain given infinite processing cores.
What are the design issues of Concurrency in programming? Briefly discuss.
What are some disadvantages of time stamping methods for concurrency control?
database of operating system Purpose: To help you know about the main concepts of concurrency control and recovery. Topic of Discussion: According to the conflicts and failure in transactions processing, the need of concurrency control and recovery appeared. Discuss the differences between concurrency control and recovery in terms of: · The purposes. · The algorithms. · The problems.
BIS115. How many different repetition structures does Python support? What are the major differences between them?
Draw an example of the R-tree and the Quad tree and tell the different between them?
Evaluate different logic gate families by showing similarities and differences between them.
Given the properties of a transaction and what types of concurrency problems we can experience, how does locking and blockers (subjects we covered earlier in the course) come into play in all of this?
What are bonds, stocks and project? What makes them similar and what makes them different?
List the different speciation pathways and distinguish between them (allopatric, parapatric, sympatric). Differentiate between the two forms of sympatric speciation (autopolyploidy, allopolyploidy) Predict the outcome of the interactions between populations in hybrid zones.
