You’re an IT administrator for a small office with 10 Windows computers; all were purchased at the same time and contain the same type of hardware. Your boss has asked whether installing openSUSE Linux on all 10 computers is possible. You know Linux will probably recognize all hardware devices on these computers, but you want to make sure. How can you use Windows to find hardware information? What information should you look for?

There are multiple ways to identify if the hardware will work seamlessly with opensuses.

One method can be to use the live version of opensuse that is download and flash teh os on a usb/cd driver and live install from that , in this ways you will be able to test and check all the hardware without actually removing the windows os

Anither method can be to check the hardware databse , most of the os provide a database of hardwares that are supported by them , opensuse also does this and provides the portal listing all the details , the IT administrator can go through that to make sure that the existing hardwares are supported by open suse
