Questions 1:

You are an administrator for your organization. The organization has indicated that it needs to lock down some desktops so that these users can’t access certain windows components, such as control panel. They also want some standardization in the look of users’ desktops, such as wallpaper and so forth. However, they are not sure how to make these changes without affecting all users and computers. Write a short explanation of how GPO’s can be applied. Include information about how policies defined in one place can take precedence over policies defined elsewhere.

Question 2:

All domains in the same forest have what in common?

Question 3:

What is RODC and how is it different than regular Active Directory domain controllers?

Question 4:

What is Group Policy and why is it used?

Question5:

My company just opened a small office with 8 computers. In this office we are not using Active Directory Directory Service (we are not working in a domain). I have installed a Windows Server 2012 R2 computer as a stand alone server for basic file and printer server needs. Users require DNS for internet access and to resolve names of company resources. I have decided I want to install DNS on this server. What type of installation makes the most sense and why? (Hint, this has to do with zones and ADDS).
