If defined operationally, behavior refers to an individual's generally consistent choice/pattern of action in a given situation.

Certain behaviors are maintained automatic positive reinforcement, which isn't learnt by one's social environment and rather performed to derive a personal favourable outcome. Example: opening the jacket when you feel hot. It can be termed as 'Primary Reinforcers', which are related unconditionally with one's biological needs. Example: drinking water on feeling thirsty.
