Arab Springs were a wave of anti-government, pro-democracy protests and uprisings in the Arab countries against oppressive regimes that started for the first time in Tunisia and spread to other countries such as Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Syria, and Bahrain against a continuous low standard life, persistent unemployment, corruption in the government etc.

The policy implication of this paper could be that these countries would need to adopt impartial institutions, laws, measures to ensure transparency in the government and other such confidence building measures. Governments in these countries need to bring devices operated in democratic countries to increase trust amongst people.

Unless these policy measures are taken, such violent protests could turn into movements which could lead to fall of these governments and establishment of democracy.
