There are two terms in pipetting: TC or 'to contain' and TD or 'to deliver'
In a pipette with TC marking, the contained quantity of the liquid is eqivalent to the capacity printed on the pipette, while in case of TD the deliverd quantity is the printed volume.
For calibrating a TD pipette, the follwing equation at operating temperature is used:
Volume of TD = Volume of TC + drainage holdback error
NOTE: TD and TC is unique for every pipette
