1. While working in the biosafety cabinet to culture your epithelial cells, a loud sound from the construction of Perry Hall started you and you spilled an unknown liquid into your cell culture. The next day, you noticed an increase in the nucleus/cytoplasmic ratio and suspect you may have created some stem cells! What can you do to test your hypothesis?

The most used method are microscopy or flow cytometry based.To check the presence of stem cells, different markers can be used. the detaction is usually done by labelling the cell with specific markers.For isolating the cell CD133 is an appropriate marker.

For the detection of the presence of Stem cell appropriate marker combination and FACS (Flourescence -activated cell sorting ) analysis method can be used.
