One major point that is most thought of when thinking about the obesity epidemic is the availability of fast food. Most people would think that this would have a huge impact on society since it is so accessible. While this does play into some of the cause, the major problem seems to be the switching of fats and carbohydrates for sugars. In the past, they attempted to reduce the amount of overweight people by switching fats with sugars. On the label, it looks healthy when viewing the amount of fat in it. On the other hand, the sugars are causing a lot of havoc in society.
