2. It is a digestive enzyme that is used in the citric cycle.

3. It controls the first of these two steps, it turns the six-carbon molecule into five-carbon molecule.

4.  isocitrate dehydrogenase is inhibited by ATP and NADH and activated by ADP.

5. The main function of this enzyme is to catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate into alpha-ketoglutarate.
