In our environment balancing is very important for suitable ecosystem . In ecosystem producer and consumers levels always should be kept in balance , like population of animal and as well as population of plant and predators always take a importance role to keep balancing of plant population (predators can impact on population ).
So in absence of predators and competitions ,there is always a chance to increasing the plant population and more population of plants can impact on animals by indirectly . If there is more plant than usual , there is chance to increasing the no of animals who eat plants and the population of animals that eats that animals might also increase . By these way increasing of population than usual is not good for ecosystem as well as environments .
what would happen in a plant population if it grew in the absence of predators and...
What would happen to cellular respiration in the absence of oxygen? Select one or more: A. Glycolysis could not proceed. OB. Kreb's cycle could not proceed. OC. Electron transfer could not proceed. D. Glucose could not be broken down E. No ATP would be produced.
What would happen to population growth rate when zero population growth is achieved?
In graminoid (grasslike plant) dominated wetlands, shrubs will sometimes encroach in the absence of burning or grazing, leading to a transformation to a shrub-carr. What might happen to denitrification rates after encroachment? Explain your answer. (2-3 sentences. There is no one specific right answer)
In graminoid (grasslike plant) dominated wetlands, shrubs will sometimes encroach in the absence of burning or grazing, leading to a transformation to a shrub-carr. What might happen to soil moisture and water-table depth after encroachment? Explain your answer. (2-4 sentences. There is not one specific right answer)
if the proximal His in hemoglobin was mutated to a Glycine, what would happen to oxygen binding and cooperativity for this mutated hemoglobin in the presence and absence of imidazole
Suppose that a lizard species eats only one type of insect and the populations follow Lotka–Volterra dynamics. The intrinsic growth rate of insects in the absence of predators is 0.2 per week, and the mortality rate of the lizards in the absence of insects is 0.05 per week. The capture efficiency rate is 0.002, and the efficiency at which insect biomass is converted into predator biomass is 0.2. The lizard population will increase only if the number of insects is...
Ecology Chapter 14 Predation and Herbivory
Concept Checks
CONCEPT CHECK 1. What evidence is there that predators can control the abundance of prey? 2. How has the reduction of top predators had unintended consequences on the abundance of prey? 3. What evidence is there that herbivores can control the abundance of plants? CONCEPT CHECK 1. How does a prey population's ability to disperse allow the prey to persist in the presence of predators? 2. Based on the predator-prey population equations,...

Understanding regulation of transcription in eukaryotes. The images below depict how the expression of a gene required to break down...
What would happen if we placed an oligopeptide in a nonpolar solvent? What would happen if we placed an oligopeptide in a polar solvent?
QUESTION 1 On an 1sland with only few predators, a population N(t) of rabbits (where t is the time in years) undergoes yearly seasonal varations such that the growth rate of their population is proportional to a fraction bN(t) of the total population, where b = cos2 rt Knowing that the initial population N(0) of rabbits is No >0, what ıs the maxımum value that N(t) can attain? Note that for k 0 sin(2kt 2 cos2(kt) dt = 4k 15...
