Answer #1

Rat share the most recent common ancestor because the chordates and then mammals are recently found atmost. In the rat notochord is present and having complex neuronal system by which they share the recent evolution of organism.Earthworm shows the most similarity in their anatomy w.r.t rat because of that both have closed circulatory system, triploblastic, and body segmentation internally present in both, nephrites are present in earthworm while in rat nephron are present which shows similar excretory system.

See Hint Several organisms have a homologous protein inherited from a common ancestor) that is highly similar at the amino acid level. You are comparing the genes that code for these proteins in the different organisms when you note that one of the codon nucleotide positions shows more nucleotide variation than the other nucleotide positions. In which codon nucleotide position do you expect to see the most variability among species? Choose one: A fourth nucleotide position B. third nucleotide position...

The group of organisms humans belong to is relatively small. All living organisms share a common ancestor, as evidenced by the commonality of DNA and ribosomes. Humans are not a unique form of life. Our ability to learn about the natural world does provide us an advantage over many species, especially if we use this advantage wisely. Antibiotics are prevalent in bacteria and fungi, whereas other drugs are derived from plants. Humans are not the most common species on Earth....
