Specificity :-

Means specificity in signaling by different proteins like serine which get activated and convey the signals to the targets in the cell.

Amplification :-

It is process occuring inside the cell, in which the single signal is amplified mulitiple times to get more amplified effect. Each step in the signaling chain is capable of amplification.

Modularity:-

It is the ability of the system to arrange the individual respones to increase the quality and efficiency of signal transmission.

Desensitization:-

It is a general feature of signaling membrane receptors. It is the rapid signal attenuation in response to stimulation of cells by receptor agonists. Or, Decreased response due to continued exposure to the receptor agonists.

Integration :-

It refers to converging of the signals to produce more specific cell response.
