a. The homologous chromosomes are separated and they move to two different poles (Anaphase I of meiosis). The sister chromotids are separated to form two different chromosome and they travel to two different poles (Anaphase II of meiosis and Mitosis).

b. Chromosome number in each cell becomes half (meiosis I). Chromosome number in each cell remains same (meiosis II and mitosis).

a. The chromosome number in each cell is equal to each other.

b. The same chromosome in each cell doesn't contain same allele if the mother cell contains different alleles. So, they are different.
