MacFadden’s theory of hierarchical Choice define that if an individual began to make choices which starts from the top of a tree like structure and comes to down by stepping from one branch to the another till the bottom or root is reached via a process of elimination.
Based on this theory we can say that people always want to aim for the hughest goal such as evaluation of the top most one or best one. In this process of finalising people start from the top and elimintation begins gradually while coming from top to bottom. Selection process is mainly target the tope geographic level especially in this era faced with threat of environmental changes. Highest level keep them protect from environmental threats such as flood. Due to the limitations in the resources they eliminate choices and come down towards plains along with descending geographic level.
