Auscultation is a method of diagnosis for evaluation of blood pressure of an individual, by this method general physician uses stethoscope to hear the sound produced by heart (this method also use for functionality of the lungs also). This sound generates when the heart contracts or relaxes and this type of pressure is named as systolic and diastolic pressure. Doctors analyses a tapping sound which occurs when irregular of disturbed cuff pressure present in an individual with higher diastolic pressure than the systolic one. This method is also known as manual method. In this case all values are normal and showing no absnormality.
| Systolic BP | Diastolic BP | |||
| Lying | 125 | 85 | ||
| Sitting | 120 | 80 | ||
| Standing | 115 | 75 | ||
| Mean BP | 120 | 80 | ||
