Answer #1

4. Answer - CRISPR is more accurate than RT-PCR.

CRISPR technology is very simple, easy to use and cheap, besides being very accurate. In this technology, gene editing is a genetic engineering technique in molecular biology by which the genomes of living organisms may be modified. PCR is a technology for genotyping, cloning, mutation, sequencing, paternity testing, etc. It is a three-step reaction and takes a longer time.

5. Answer - PCR in SHERLOCK protocol is isothermic [ the kit allows clinicians to quickly and cheaply diagnose patient samples and track epidemics. Viruses in blood samples or saliva can be detected quickly by a simple kit, unlike a long processing step in simple PCR technology]

* PCR in SHERLOCK protocol can amplify more than one gene at the same time [ this enables one to distinguish related viral species from one another and identify clinically relevant mutations like that in the Zika virus, which has been associated with microcephaly.

* Dyes are added to RT-PCR.

UPCRISULAPIULULUIJM 4 Question 6 What are some differences between both, Sherlock and RT-PCR, AND the serological test? Serological tests allow to detect individuals currently with the disease and that had the disease in the past. Serological tests require blood samples while the others can use nasal secretions. Serological tests detect human antibodies against COVID19 while the other tests detect viral genes. Serological tests detect viral genome while the other tests focus on viral RNA Question 7 6 p Regarding the...
