Solution to question number 2

Meiosis is a cell division that specifically occurs during gamete formation in both the paternal and maternal gametic cells. Therefore for a human cell to inherit a copy of each of the 23 chromosomes, in case of paternal meiosis. Each cell will have a probability of 25 % .

Since in the normal case of human inheritance, a complete gamete is formed from 46 chromosomes i.e 23 from both the paternal and maternal sides. Therefore in cases of human inheritance without any exceptions or mutations the number of chromosomes inherited by paternal to the gamete will be 23.
