Question- Detection of diseases based on screening of single nucleotide polymorphisms ( SNPs).
Microarray technique is widely used for many purposes. In this process, small sections of DNA attached to the solid surface is analysed and studied for a large fraction of genetic studies. The uses of DNA microarray are given above and all that uses somehow helps in investigation of many disorders. These techniques use certain probes for this process.
Set of experiments to address this research questions is -
• Experiments could be based on knowing the common defective sequences which can cause any future diseases on mutation .
•To know whether the obtained genetic sequence of genes is required for healthy gene expression or not.
• To identify Disease causing genes of certain specific diseases by using SNPs in the experiment to determine the variations that are responsible for the alterations.
• To study the altered portion of genome by labelling a probe that will determine the high activity , resistivity and specificity for the detection of diseases.
• For determining the structural similar variations among some common genetic disorders for creating a single probe , suitable for working on different set of conditions.
