Explain detailly in at least 10 lines why or why not, if GWAS is useful for helping in determine why some people have blue eyes while others do not?
In this case, it is important to explain what Genome Wide association study is and for what it is used. GWAS is a type of analysis of genetic variation along the whole human genome. It is tries to identify an association between the genomic variations and an observable trait. GWAS is focused in the association between single polymorphism nucleotides (SNPs) and observable traits.
To accomplish this task, GWAS requires the study of a huge amount of individuals. With a bid genomic library, the data can compared and conclude some associations. In other words, the genetic of various individuals are compared and it is observed similar polymorphism depending on the gene that is being studied.
For example, we can observe deletions, repetitions or variations in several SNPs and compare them with the genome of an individual that express the trait that we want to study. In the case of the color of eyes, we can take the pattern of several individuals that posses blue eye color and estimate a pattern. Based on this pattern, we can actually identified which genes are responsible for this trait. So yes, GWAS can help us to determine why some people have blue eyes while others do not.

Explain at least three useful coping strategies for nurse leaders. Explain why it is important for nurse leaders to care for self in order to be role models and demonstrate the five pillars of caring for others. Describe three effective strategies that nursing leaders can use to foster and promote healthy behaviors and achieve balance and a healthy lifestyle.

What lines of evidence support climate change? (Include at least 3 and explain each.) People often ask if climate change caused a weather event. Is it possible to answer such questions? Why or why not? Please provide an example and an explanation on how climate change has influenced a weather event. (Example: Hurricane Harvey) After finding an example, what evidence did the scientist use to connect the extreme weather event to human-induced climate change? What was the reason why Peter...
Buffers are sometimes called “chemical sponges”. Explain why? Explain why some solutions have buffering capacity and others do not. The lungs and kidneys contribute to pH regulation. Why do you think these are important, when buffer systems minimize pH fluctuations in body fluids?
Explain why the presence of spectral lines of a given element in the solar spectrum tells you that the element is present in the Sun, but the absence of the lines would not necessarily mean the element is absent from the Sun. a. Some elements have a concentration in the Sun too low to emit or absorb light. b. The gas may be too hot or too cool, or of the wrong density, for that type of atom to have...
explain why your assigned strategy would be useful for . Address the following: • Analyze and define the tool average of group member opinion. • Evaluate and explain why your assigned decision-making tool would be the most effective in the situation described in the provided case study. • Include references and citations in your post. Jamal and Amber have a successful small business with ten employees. Their entire team has been invited to two professional conferences, but they're only able...

1. Is it possible for two different equipotential lines to cross each other? Explain why or why not? 2. Is it possible for two different electric field lines to cross each other? Explain why or why 3. Where do the electric field lines begin and end? If they are equally spaced at their beginning, 4. If you wanted to push a charge along one of the electric field lines from one conductor to the 5. The potential is everywhere the...

Explain why it is important for the firm to plan for the long term - and why some firms may be more incentivized to do this than others. Discuss the connection between risk and returns in finance. .
Why do we naturally tend to trust some strangers more than others? One group of researchers decided to study the relationship between eye color and trustworthiness. In their experiment the researchers took photographs of 80 students (20 males with brown eyes, 20 males with blue eyes, 20 females with brown eyes, and 20 females with blue eyes), each seated in front of a white background looking directly at the camera with a neutral expression. These photos were cropped so the...
