Answer #1

Pi is transported into the mitochondrial matrix by Pi/H+ symporter, which transports H+ and Pi to the mitochondrial matrix, the concentration of H+ is higher in the intermembrane space ( during electron transport H+ is pumped into the intermembrane space from the matrix ) the energy released during the transport of H+ down the concentration gradient is used to transport Pi into mitochodnria.

so the answer is B) simultanoeus transport of H+ into mitochondrion.
