Two decomposition products are possible. Sodium carbonate and sodium oxide.
We calculated the theoretical yields of both products . But in case of sodium oxide , theoretical yield comes less than the experiment yield = 2.95 g . This is not possible.
It means only one product is formed . It is sodium
carbonate.
