The book “who moved my cheese?” is a good representation of how we behave when faced with a change. Although change is a constant factor and even necessary for our survival on more levels than one, we can say that any organization would have an affinity for security which is provided by their structure which is why their ability to accept and maintain a change is affected. In the easiest sense, when an individual is faced with a change, their first instinct is to cling on to the present rather than change for the future, utilizing this, we can say that individual values and perception are the biggest aspect that requires us to look into in order to maintain the ability to change. For any organization, it is necessary to maintain a level of change throughout their structure and the management needs to be competent enough to analyze and monitor when it is that the organization is stagnating. There is also the need to create an organizational wide learning process for employees to create the best possible execution of not just change but the acceptance and formulation of change throughout. Management can create the required values of job security, job rotation as well as better involvement in the working principles of the employees in order to help them comprehend the entirety of the change so that they feel secure and motivated enough to not only accept the change but utilize it well. The organization needs to work on a cultural level in order to implement the change and therefore, the working culture needs to be flexible enough to welcome such a change in order to create the best possible execution in order to utilize it.

The best case of example would be an organization that is trying to implement a new machine, IT setup, software system which would require the proper utilization, motivation as well as learning capacity in order to make the best possible use of the change, which they accomplish by the management’s involvement in addressing the required factors and how they can create it within the organization.
