1. it facilitate and promote active learning among students.

2. it develop the ability to solve clinical problems.

3.case study expose the participants to real life situation which otherwise is difficult.

4. the most important advantage is that it simplifies complex concepts.

5. it enhances clinical team work.

6. it improves communication skills.

7. it encourage the development of critical thinking skills.

all these things are extremely important for nursing.

disadvantage.

1. it might be difficult to find an appropriate case study to suits all the subjects.

2. case studies contains the study of observations and perceptions of one person.

there are chances that the person presenting the case study may completely present it in one manner and missing in other aspects completely.
