Answer #1

There are various specified locations from which the Get-ChildItem cmdlet can get the Items.

To Check the boxes,we can have

REGISTRY and DIRECTORY as our answer.

DIRECTORY

The Get-ChildItem cmdlet can get the child item from the File System DIRECTORY using the Path Parameter.

There are several modes indicated for this file system directory in the PowerShell Console such as l,d,a,r,h,s which stands for link,directory,archive,read-only,hidden and system respectively. The Path command indicates the following things of the item:

  • Mode
  • LastWriteTime
  • FileSize
  • Name

POWERSHELL CONSOLE Get - Child Item - Path C: / Office Mode Last Write Time Length Nane - - - ! 02/23/2018 02/11/2018 0311/20

REGISTRY

The Get-ChildItem cmdlet again uses the Path parameter to get item from the Registry Hive.It is actually the registry keys that are taken from the registry hives.

it is the path and the top level registry keys that the PowerShell Console displays.

POWERSHELL CONSOLE Get - Child Item - Pathe HKLM:\HARDWARE Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\MARDWARE Property Name - -- DESC UFFI MAP
