Sunlight is the ultimate energy source for ecosystem. Green plants and grass are the producers of ecosystem. They synthesize food material by photosynthesis using Carbon dioxide, water and sunlight. Plants produce carbohydrates, proteins , fats and other nutrients. Animals are consumers dependent on plants directly or indirectly.
